Suris dessert wine
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Birbet.
SURFACE: 0,20 ha.
ALTITUDE: 500 mt.
EXPOSURE: south-west.
ANNUAL PRODUCTION GRAPE: 85 ql/ha.
BOTTLES: 800.
COLOR: light ruby red, sometimes tending toward pink or orange.
BOUQUET: flowers (rose) and fruit (peach and strawberry).
FLAVOUR: delicate, sweet, sometimes sparkling.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 5,5% vol.
NOTE: produced with Birbet grape, which has aromatic properties of roses and cinnamon. This wine is only partially fermented, so the fragrance taste is accompanied by a good equilibrium between low alcohol and sugary residue with a prolonged feeling of flowers and fruit. It is slight sparkling, so when served it shows its lively foam. Best as aperitif or dessert, it is wonderful to drink on its own, especially in summertime. It is perfect for party with friends, that is the reason why the name "Suris" which means "smile" in our dialect. Women love it, and in fact Rosi - the lady of the house - has ispired Birbet vinification in the 70'.
